Student Consent & Release Form
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requires a consent and release form on file for each youth conference attendee. It is DESE’s policy that each conference require a new consent and release form for each attendee. Chapter advisers should also have a copy of each attendee’s most current form with them at the conference. Chapters MUST use the provided form and cannot create their own. All forms for one chapter should be submitted at one time by TBA, on the Missouri FCCLA website on the State Leadership Conference page. Additionally, advisers and chaperones should have a hard copy of these forms with them at all times during the conference.
STAR Events Online Orientation
All Missouri STAR Events competitors are required to review the online orientation slideshow and submit Online Orientation Documentation to their room consultant at the time of competition. Many frequently-asked questions will be addressed in the orientation information, so completing the orientation is essential. After viewing the orientation, download the documentation form, print and sign it as instructed, and bring it with you to competition.
STAR Events Volunteers
It is with the support of our amazing volunteer evaluators and room consultants that Missouri FCCLA is able to execute and evaluate hundreds of STAR Events at State Leadership Conference. Any individual who is out of high school may volunteer as an evaluator or adult room consultant for STAR Events.
Our talented STAR Events team will find the best competitive events for you to work with based on your knowledge and experience, along with your interests. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering for STAR Events and are not registered, fill out the volunteer form. If you are registered for the conference, indicate in your registration that you would like to volunteer.

Content Creators
The Missouri FCCLA Content Creator Team is a team of up to six volunteers who have an interest in technology and social media. They will be updating the official Missouri FCCLA Facebook page, Instagram and TikTok feeds with conference news and photos from their own unique perspectives as well as writing blog updates for the FCCLA website. The Content Creator Team will provide real-time updates to conference attendees as well as those unable to attend the meeting, such as parents, administrators, and other chapter members.
Potential Content Creators must have experience with social media tools, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Content Creators will take photos and videos and create content for Missouri FCCLA social media and website, so experience with simple photo editing and movie making tools such as Movie Maker or iMovie as well as Canva is a must. Content Creators should be good writers – proficient in a concise, informational, but yet conversational writing style.
Interested members and advisers should complete the online application by TBA. Selected Content Creators will receive a $75 refund toward their conference registration after successfully completing all Content Creator team assignments.
