“I have seen such a huge change in both my children since they joined FCCLA in Jr High. They went from self conscience and doubtful to confident and determined. The support and encouragement from their advisors and fellow members gave them the courage to face their fears and step out of their comfort zone. Communication is One area that FCCLA has had a major impact They have learned to communicate clearly and effectively with adults and their peers whether it is in person over the phone or through email. organization and collaboration are but a few of the skills my children have gained through FCCLA.”
“I am entering my 3rd year teaching FCS at the high school level and advising our FCCLA chapter. I have been in education for 14 years, and have coached and sponsored many groups, but this organization is truly a special one!
When I was told that the position I was filling was also the primary adviser of the Boonville FCCLA chapter, I began learning everything I could about the organization since it was all new to me. FCCLA is a CTE that opens doors, focuses on leadership, and encourages everyone to make a real difference in their community, school, and beyond. Between the passionate officers in charge, the friendly teachers in FCS I have met, and the Missouri FCCLA staff and state adviser I have felt like a part of one big family since day 1! I can honestly say that FCCLA is a family and the individuals welcome you in warmly, and I am beyond grateful for this organization and what it provides our students. ”
“Being in FCCLA and serving as Region 5 President has been the best experience of my life. I have built so many skills and learned so much about myself through this organization, more than I could ever imagine and I am so grateful for this. Through these four years I’ve competed in STAR Events, Served as Regional and Chapter officer, and seen places from across the nation, but nothing will compare to supporting other members and seeing them shine. Whether that be through Competitive events, Serving as an officer, or just being an active chapter member, being a mentor to those members finding their own success is incredibly worthwhile. I am so grateful for these opportunities that helped me find my passion in education, helped me grow my leadership abilities and helped me see the passion within every FCCLA member.”
“FCCLA has truly changed me as a person. It has helped me find confidence in myself, become a stronger public speaker, and step outside of my comfort zone in ways I never thought I could. Along the way, I’ve built friendships and connections with incredible people who have encouraged me to grow. More than anything, FCCLA has given me skills and experiences that make me feel excited and prepared for whatever comes next in my future.”
