Hey Missouri FCCLA, it is time for you to serve! I want to encourage all of you to take part in giving back to your community. You can help support and improve your community’s quality of life by actively engaging and commencing different projects throughout your community. By getting involved in community service, you can learn, lead, and serve.
Different projects will allow you the opportunity to learn. As a member, you can explore ethics, personal values, and ethical decision making, but you are also given the opportunity to evaluate your community’s needs and values. If you are concerned about children’s mental health or helping your elders in your community you can choose a project that you are passionate about, and that will allow you to help these certain individuals in extraordinary ways. You are given the amazing chance to learn about yourself and others.
Giving back to your community through community service will allow you to lead others. You will be able to gain the understanding of your own leadership skills and how to use them in a positive manner. You will be able to take these skills and implement them to the workplace. Leading a project can help you gain a better sense of who you are as a person and a leader.
Serving is a crucial part when involved in a community service project. Community partnerships are important and you will learn this through your time serving. You will understand why having support plays a critical role in following out your project and serving others. You will allow others to better develop their own understanding of community-based service.
Missouri FCCLA giving back to your community can allow you to become confident as an individual. You are able to learn, lead, and serve. These skills will help you throughout your lifetime. Whether you want to take part in numerous projects or implement them throughout the workplace. Missouri FCCLA you are capable of all things, so reach for the limit and help give back to the amazing people in your community.
Thank you,
Maleah Hogan
