In this chapter of my life, I am currently very active in 4 clubs, work a job, and have cheer practice/games each night of the week. Keeping everything organized can be hard at times, especially when you have so many assignments due the next day! Here are a few tips I use daily to stay on task and manage my time.
The first thing you can do to be organized is get a planner! Using a planner, you can have all of your assignments, work shifts, practices, activities, and more, all in one place. In a planner, you can color code, group things together, and write your to-do lists. I suggest using a pencil for events because we know those plans can always change! I usually make my to-do lists by putting the to-do’s from most urgent to least urgent. This is a great way to have all of your needs for that single day in one place!
Within our chapter, we are always having meetings or opportunities to get involved within our school and community. We utilize a program of work that all members have access to. The program of work contains everything going on within FCCLA that year along with due dates and check points for competition. The program of work is a great resource for your chapter to utilize so your members can stay current. I put all of the program of work dates in my planner and update as necessary.
I hope each of you are having a great year and are looking ahead in your planner to join us in March for the Missouri State Leadership Conference!
