This rigorous day provides the opportunity for middle school FCCLA members to participate in a hands-on culinary training. Taught by Chef Steven Brooks, TV chef and culinary entrepreneur, participants will learn basic culinary skills, etiquette, safety and sanitation, as well as basic recipe development and practice. To showcase their skills, participants will compete in a mystery basket competition, developing and preparing a recipe utilizing three of five mystery ingredients with access to a stocked pantry and fridge to supplement the mystery ingredients.
