Taking place during Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month\, FCCLA Week showcases how student leaders across the country are preparing to thrive in their futures through service\, education\, and career development. \nEach day of the week features a unique theme\, empowering chapters to recognize their achievements\, highlight the dedication of advisers\, engage their communities\, and connect with alumni and partners. These celebrations are more than just fun activities—they are powerful demonstrations of how FCCLA equips students with essential life and leadership skills across a variety of high-demand Career Clusters. \nAs the only Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that directly prepares students for careers that support families\, FCCLA plays a vital role in strengthening homes\, schools\, and communities nationwide. SUMMARY:Legislative Shadowing
DESCRIPTION:Missouri FCCLA members in their junior and senior years of high school who have an interest in government\, public policy\, and laws and their relation to families\, careers\, and communities are encouraged to apply for a day of shadowing in the Missouri General Assembly. Up to fifty FCCLA members may be chosen for this program. The Legislative Shadowing program is funded with Missouri FCCLA membership dues and contributions from the Missouri Educators of Family and Consumer Sciences (MoEFCS). \nTo be eligible\, the FCCLA member must be a junior or senior in high school and must have paid all dues by the designated affiliation deadline. Each applicant must submit an application\, and each chapter is allowed two applications. State Executive Council chapters are allowed two applications in addition to their SEC application.
